BLAHC Chairwoman, Tammy Scott LNHA, MHSA
I am a Black Leader in Shelby County, TN area, mostly known as Memphis. I am a License Nursing Home Administrator in TN. I am also an advocate for low income blacks and grassroot organizer. I became a Nursing Home Administrator because of my brother Antonio Johnson. He got into a car accident when he was 19, which left him quadriplegic. My mother placed him in a nursing home because she was disabled and had small children to care for, which I was the youngest. I decided to go to college and pursue a masters and become a LNHA. His bad choice became my good choice. His mistake became my calling.
